“Five categories with 99 competitors. Unexpectedly, the first shortest class, up to 160 cm, had the longest line-up of 34 girls. Jessica MacMillan (Canada) placed 2nd at the 2013 Canadian and 2013 North American Championships and 8th at the 2013 Women’s Worlds (up to 163 cm class). This time she participated in the 160 cm category, in a new set of competitors. Most of her rivals from the Worlds went to the higher class but she met 2012 Arnold Europe and 2013 Arnold America winner Angela Derzapf (Germany) and it was a very tough battle, with the third girl joining this duo: new, very promising star Jessica Coate (New Zealand). Finally, MacMillan took the first position, ahead of Derzpaf and Coate but the difference was 1 point between each of them. So close battle! And last year’s top girls: Nora Martinez and Viviana Gimenez (both of Paraguay) and Katrina Kocielska (Canada) dropped to the lower places.”
